Vive la France

President Sarkozy said that illegal Gypsy camps ‘will be systematically evacuated’.

He also pushed for a change in France's immigration law to make expulsions for reasons of public order easier.

This comes after last week's riot in the small Loire Valley town of Saint Aignan where dozens of gypsies armed with hatchets and iron bars attacked the police station, hacked down trees and burned cars.

The riot erupted after a gendarme shot and killed a traveller who had driven through a checkpoint.

If it had happened in Britain, the IPCC would have a field day

Today, the President was accused of using language with chilling undertones in a country where authorities rounded up Gypsies and sent them to concentration camps during the Nazi occupation in World War II.

(Like many other countries in Europe in the 1930s and 40s)

But at least he is talking about it. Just hope they go East and not across the channel to us.

Day out

The news is that the Yorkshire Ripper could be released from Broadmoor to a less secure unit after doctors reported that his mental health had improved dramatically.
And doctors are never wrong

A tribunal judge has ruled that the ripper should be moved to ‘conditions of lesser security’, where he could even be eligible for day

release. And Judges are never wrong

Some one had better tell him to lose the beard if he wants to avoid being recognised and given a good kicking....
